On August 25, 2004 with one request from me, Levon, our friend Angela Stepanyan had arranged a very big Concert- Hamerk for the children of Armavir Boarding School.  The turnout was almost the entire town of Armavir,  Armenia. The performers danced, songs were sang in many different types and styles from joxovrdagan, estradayin, to pop and rap, in Armenian as well as in Russian. The  audience and the children of Armavir had  very enjoyable moments with our Angela and her group of singers and dancers all the way from Moscow.

We invite all to work hand in hand helping and to support the needy children of the Armavir Boarding School.

The Armavir Boarding School, Armenia-Armavir Boarding School is located on Gorki Street. Armavir Boarding School #1 has 130-140 Challanged Students, all in need of help. They are poor. orphaned or physically or mentally or educationally handicapped. In addition they have various educational and social problems. In the past along with many others In 2001 an Armenian-American, George Goguian underwrote the cost of repairs but at present, difficulties and troubles facing the school are many too count. The absence of a playground in the schoolyard, the minimum quantity of desks, beds, laundry facilities, many kitchen supplies are still needed.

On behalf of the school's administration teaching staff and the parental council headmistress Lilia Asatryan is issuing and appeal for your help, not only to improve the school's conditions and the quality of the children's education but also to take in more students who presently cannot attend schools for various reasons, including lack of clothing!
